What we offer:

Tween/Teen Night: Jan 24 Mix & Match Character Sculpture 6-8 pm Ages 11-15 $40 Unlock your inner sculptor and cartoonist in this dynamic workshop inspired by the pioneering pop artist, Marisol Escobar (1930–2016). Marisol's iconic work uses simple, salvaged wooden blocks as a canvas to create humorous, insightful, and often satirical depictions of individuals and social groups. In this class, you will learn her techniques of assemblage, drawing, painting, and found-object integration to create your own unique, rotating wood block sculpture featuring different characters. You will construct a multi-sided sculpture using pre-cut wood blocks. Each side of the block will be dedicated to a different character—allowing you to explore multiple facets of a personality or different figures entirely as the sculpture turns. Pizza and drinks included! Image "The Party" by the artist, Marisol, credit: Artforum
