We are excited to announce our new After School Art Club Program

beginning August 20, 2024.

After School Art Club is a great alternative to after school care if you are looking for an engaging, fun and innovative way for your child(ren) in grades 1-3 to spend their afternoon. We offer pickup from Lincoln Elementary School at 3:30pm and children from other schools may be dropped off at the studio anytime after 3:45pm.

Just a note: ASAC will not replace our regular After School Classes for ages 5-10 and tweens. This is a separate program for our new studio space :)   

When is After School Art Club?

  • After School Art Club (ASAC) Fall Session will take place August 20th - December 20th (17 Weeks) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm. Registration for our Winter/Spring 2025 Session will open October 15, 2024. Your spot will be reserved if you are registered for the Fall session and choose to continue on.


  • We follow the Mt. Lebanon Public Schools Calendar and will hold ASAC any day Mt. Lebanon public schools are in session. ASAC is not in session during school breaks and holidays, snow days or any other school closures. There are no refunds/makeups in the above situations. 


Where is ASAC Located?

  • After School Art Club will take place at Dot and Line Art Studio in our new Play Studio space.

How will my child get to class?

  • Students will be picked up from Lincoln Elementary School at 3:30pm by two of our educators during dismissal and walked down the street as a group to Dot and Line Art Studio.

  • Additionally, students that go to other schools may be dropped off by parents at 3:45pm.

What will a typical class look like?

  • There are 2 teachers and 12-14 children.

  • Upon arrival, students will have time to decompress from school, have a snack (provided) and warm-up with some creative games, movement, play and sensory activities. 

  • After ~20 minutes of warm-ups, students will have a class meeting. During our meeting, students and teachers will discuss art club agreements, creative ideas students have, and reflect on previous lessons.

  • Next, for ~60 minutes students will be led in a daily art activity that will focus on a new material each week, finding new ways to use the material with each lesson. Lastly, students will wind down with a calming drawing activity, game, or story.


Will a new project be offered each day?

  • Our theme for this school year is Materials Masters. We will do an in-depth materials exploration each week focusing on one material such as paint, clay, pastels, watercolors, wire and more. There will be a different project each day using that same material/medium in new and exciting ways.


Who are your educators? 

  • Jill Buda, Kate Gugliotta, and Taylor Mezo will be the lead educators of this program. All three have many years of experience working with young children in classroom, museum, and community settings and also maintain their own visual arts practice. Learn more about our educators here. 

How does dismissal work?

  • Students will need a pre-verified adult to come into the studio to pick them up promptly
    between 5:15 and 5:30pm.


Will there be any extra events?

  • There will be an art show to showcase the students’ artwork at the end of the session.
    That date will be announced in the Fall.

What is the ASAC annual schedule? 

  • Fall 2024 : August 20th- December 20th (17 Weeks)

  • Spring 2025:  Jan 2nd - June 5th  (22 Weeks)


How many days can I sign up for, and what is the cost?

  • Families  can register a child  for 1, 2, or all 3 days for the 17 week Fall session. 

  • Each day / 17 week session is $595 ($35/day)

  • Full registration (all three days) will receive a 5% discount. 

  • Sibling discount of 5% (cannot be combined with Full Registration discount).

  • A non-refundable deposit of $119 per registered day is due upon registration.
    You will be billed in four installments of $119 per registered day on September 1, October 1, November 1, and December 1, 2024.

Studio Policy: After School Art Club is a semester long commitment (August through December, January through June). There are no make ups for days missed.
