*For Students who have either taken our "Oil Painting 101 class in Fall 2025, or have prior experience with oil painting medium. Get ready to level up your oil painting game with advanced concepts / techniques: - Learn how to stretch a canvas and prepare different painting surfaces - Recording moments with "thumbnail" oil sketches - Underpainting tech - Brushwork challenges to get you painting faster with more precision, less "thinking." - Painting "Alla Prima" (wet on wet) - Copy Cat / Masterworks (composition transfer) - What makes a painting exciting to look at? Let's do that! This class is excellent for those who have some experience in painting – oil or otherwise – as well as those who have taken our prior Oil Painting 101 class; and who are looking to level up their skill set with more practice. All materials included. This class will work with traditional oil paint with zero-odor solvent and safflower oil mixing gel. We'll teach you how to work safely and smartly with these materials so that they can be reused and reconstituted with very little waste. The registration includes an extra materials fee.
