"Cut It Out! Collage" Mondays 4:30pm -5:30pm (Ages 6-8) April 8 - June 3 (8 classes) All materials included. Collage is also sort of like creating a puzzle of certain imagery that tell a story, create a mood, or make a clever joke. This class will look at several artists who have used collage as a quick and colorful medium of poetic communication and storytelling throughout history. We'll work with printed and painted media and papers, compositions of pattern and repetition, storytelling with shapes, faces, cut out words, and material textures. For example: some of the best internet memes out there use the elements of collage to combine different images and words together in unexpected or funny ways... just google "cat memes." :) No class on Memorial Day (May 27)
