What we offer:

(Camp 11): Nature & Art 2 / AM (ages 9-13) July 15 - 19. AM 9am - noon In this camp we’ll explore how artists are inspired by natural materials and the world around them. Campers will learn to make their own natural based plant dyes to color fabrics, use clay to create animal habitats, learn about light and photography through cyanotypes, create en plein aire paintings and more! We will visit Bird Park and meet with local conservationists, a beekeeper, check out Dot and Line Art Studio Owners' fabulous garden, and learn a bit more about being inspired by nature to make art. This camp will run in two simultaneous sections with different age groups (5-8 / 9-13). We will combine these groups for some days (like at the Bird Park Pavilion), and walk as a group to visit a nearby local beekeeper and to see Kate's and Branden's garden, also a short walk from the studio. FYI: We're excited to be partnering with The Mount Lebanon Nature Conservancy for an educational tour of Bird Park! We have obtained charter bus transportation for a group Bird Park round trip visit with pavilion permit for Wednesday July 17. The bus will transport us all as a group to Bird Park from the Studio at 9:15am and return at noon.
