Summer Camp Employment Opportunity

Dot and Line Art Studio is seeking an experienced candidate to Lead and Assist with our 2026 Summer Camp activities during six weeks of summer camp programing Monday-Friday : June 15 - July 31, 2026 (No camps week of July 4).  We are looking for a candidate to commit to the full six-weeks of our camp programming.

​

Our 2026 weekly Summer Camp programming runs in two separate four-hour sections (AM 9am-12pm / PM 1pm-4pm), with each participant roster between 12-16 campers max per camp.  Each camp is always supported by one Lead Camp Educator and one Camp Assistant. 

​

The ideal Candidate must have at least 2 years of prior classroom experience and enjoy working with children aged 5- 13 yrs, maintain up to date PA / FBI / Criminal History Background Check Clearances, must have reliable transportation, be prompt, organized, professional, honoring the temporary full-time commitment to the job.  The Candidate must be able to visualize, materially prepare, and initiate our pre-written lesson plans, delegate and prioritize tasks into appropriate roles, have qualified classroom experience leading groups of children in innovative activities including art making and expanded 2D/3D curriculum such as sculpture, painting, ceramics, papier mache, and related hand making-centric work.  You must also be able to access and use our time clock / scheduling app on your smartphone. Camp Lead or Assistant roles may shift with each camp depending on our needs, but regardless, our entire Studio Team overlaps with our duties to support one another and our respective goals.

Our Summer Camps maintain thoughtful and structured weekly/daily lesson plans and intensive materials process planning on the front end to ensure the high quality, playful and unique outcomes that we are known for producing.  The ideal candidate must be an attentive and forward thinking team player, must be flexible and prompt, be able to flow into either role of Assisting or Leading a Camp, have the innate ability to self-start and work seamlessly with our Team of experienced artist/educators, and overall bring a positive attitude, good energy, and a natural professionalism to a fast paced and welcoming environment.

 

Our camps are designed to be intensive and fun, joyous and exploratory, with high quality explorations and excellent takeaways, including collaborative, playful and performative art-centric activities, all of which culminate in an art show each Friday which invites families/caregivers to participate in a small celebration with our Campers and their work. 

 

This position is to be Contracted 1099 Temporary Full Time Seasonal Employment, $20/hr. ($4800 for the entire six weeks). Payroll twice-weekly beginning June 30 (There will be three paychecks total for the Summer Camp Session: June 30, July 15, July 30).  Monday - Friday work shifts: 8:30am - 12:30pm (20hrs) / 12:30pm - 4:30pm (20 hrs). All Staff receives a 30 min paid lunch break 12:15p-12:45pm. During daily Camps, all Staff is required to be able to attend, walk to, and monitor off-site outdoor snack break sessions (10:30-11:15 AM / 1:45 - 2:15 PM).  You must also be able to attend two training and prep sessions during the week of June 8th, these will be scheduled as additional paid workshifts at the above rate.   â€‹
