Adopt and Art-Pet (Saturday) Sept 12 - Nov 21 Ages 5-8 11:30am-12:30pm 11 classes $350 Does your child dream of adopting a pet? In this class, students will combine multi sensory art techniques with imaginative play to create their very own art-pet and bring its world to life. Together, we'll explore how artists throughout history have honored and celebrated their beloved pets through the art they have made (not surprisingly, many artists have had a beloved pet featured in their work!). Students will design and build a soft sculpture stuffed pet, then create a cozy home, accessories, and everything their new friend needs. As their pets come to life, students will practice storytelling skills by imagining personalities and adventures for multi-sensory creations, including mini picture books, painted pet portraits, and “official” adoption papers with paw print ID. This class is perfect for children who love imaginative play, animals, storytelling, and hands-on art-making. Taught by Kate Gugliotta
