Dot and Line Art Studio LLC, located at 311A Beverly Rd. in the Beverly Rd. Shops in Mt. Lebanon, Pittsburgh, PA is seeking to hire two reliable and dependable part-time Studio Assistants for our After School programming, Weekend Classes, and occasional weekend events and parties. These positions will begin mid September, 2022.
The ideal candidate must be an active and art-loving creative individual who has prior experience working with children, loves hands-on learning and making, and can commit to a part-time schedule for the entire 2022 school year (mid-September 2022 through mid-June 2023). This is a perfect opportunity for a high school or college student looking for employment with part-time hours, and who would like to experience working in a fun and busy art studio in a relaxed and calm environment with seasoned professional artist-educators who frequently mentor students and consult with educators.
Work hours will vary depending on our scheduling, but during the school year, the ideal candidate would be available approximately 2-10 hours/week. During a typical week, work sessions would be from 4:00pm - 6:00 pm or 4:15pm - 6:15 pm approximately 1-3 days per week. Weekend hours would vary depending on our class and party schedule, but would be approximately 2-4 hours on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The ideal candidate must be able to arrive on-time when they are scheduled to work.
Duties will include: Organizing and preparing a variety of art materials for classes and parties, cleaning and organizing the studio after each class or party, being attentive to assisting young students with their work with a kind and supportive demeanor, and supporting the lead educator with setup/breakdown of studio arrangements, small furniture, and in facilitating lessons.
