What is sculpture? In this class, students will explore how artists use 3D materials including wire, wood, papier-mâché , and clay to make art. We'll make larger than life sculptures of everyday objects, wire portraits, abstract wooden sculptures, and clay busts of a person or character of their choice. We'll draw inspiration from modern and contemporary sculptors who use similar and experimental processes. (12 weeks) No class November 21.
