In this class, we will explore the multiple worlds that drawing can access from the traditional to the experimental using many different materials, movements, and forms. What happens when you combine traditional drawing like portraiture and observational rendering with experimental surfaces and textures both 2D and 3D? What would a drawing look like if you work on it for many weeks using additive and subtractive methods with different materials? In this class, we'll embrace process, the unexpected, and rethink what drawing can do. (12 weeks) No class on November 22.
