What we offer:

Clay Stories: Macro/Micro Wednesdays Sept 11 - Dec 11 (ages 8-12) 4:30pm -5:30pm 13 classes In this class, students will be inspired by ceramic vessels and wares throughout human history that tell unique and compelling stories with shape, form, and painted imagery. For example, we will look at, and be inspired by, some weird and cool vessels from Ancient Greece and Rome that tell mythical tales, dragon-decorated vessels from the Yuan and Ming Dynasties of China, Earthenware bowls from Persia with geometric patterns, and colorful Majolica Pottery from 15th Century Majorca, Spain. This class will focus on technical aspects of hand-building with low fire clay, making functional and non-functional items, and create big versions and mini versions of each! Sometimes you just need both! But on a technical level: young students will challenge hand/motor skills, learn a bit of art history, and have several lovely ceramic keepsake items both large and small. This class has a materials and kiln fee worked into the cost. Taught by Taylor Mezo No class November 27th
