What we offer:

Alcohol N' Ink Mixer (Adult Workshop). Sat Feb 25, 7pm-8:30pm. Come have a fun night out with us as we explore painting with alcohol inks...NOT painting with your drinkable alcohol, but I guess that couldn't hurt either! Alcohol Inks are a versatile and forgiving medium which allows for a variety of fun and lively painterly effects. These inks can be used on a variety of non-porous surfaces: from glass, ceramic, plastic, and metals. We will be painting on Yupo paper, which is a synthetic tree-free paper. For this workshop, we welcome you to bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks with you. We will provide light snacks for in-between painting sessions. We will also have cups, water, ice, napkins, small plates, and will maintain a separate space for food that is away from our painting area. A few things to be mindful of when painting with alcohol inks (or any paint for that matter): is that we will need to be wearing protective gloves (either nitrile or latex) as the inks will stain clothing and skin. You never want to mix any paint and food within the same space, so we will encourage hand washing and taking breaks to snack, and will require wearing gloves when painting. Our studio has excellent ventilation. As alcohol inks are pigments mixed with isopropyl alcohol, we will need to keep the air flowing, even as the fumes from these inks are very minimal.
